My brother's bought an air conditioning unit and it was 'sold as seen' , the man in the shop said. My brother checked it over and asked to see it working, which it did, but on arriving home my found that there is no remote to control it. Can it be returned or is there any contract law/breach/Sale of Goods Act cover? Unfortunately, my brother's disabled and my parents have Power of Attorney over him and he should not have been buying it but I think was quite easily talked into buying it. Can anyone help please?
hi teri
can you not just buy a remote control for it? if you tell me what make it is, i will see if we have one in the garage, as my partner fits A/C so we may have a spare one, or he will be able to tell you where you can get one
Thank you so much for the reply but you'll never guess what??? Since this morning the air con unit actually stopped working anyway!! It's faulty so it's all ok and they have given a full cash refund!! Blessing in disguise because I think it was a faulty one anyway. They were really good about it and have refunded the cash.
However, the make (we think) was called Bodman. Never heard of it but that was absolutely and definitely the only word written anywhere on it. Thanks for your offer of help getting a control but it's all worked out great in the end! Cheers very much.
