hi i have 2 stroke scooter and i'm having problems with it. it starts up easy, but when i first throttle it, it goes for literally a few seconds, then loses revs, loses power and stops. engine does not cut out though. if i throttle again it just will not move and revs are lower than they should be.

i leave it for a while, then next time i try it, same thing again. why could this be? maybe a blocked carb?

sounds like carb problems indeed! check that fuel is reaching the carb from the tank also clean out carb float bowl and jets...this is definately a fuel starvation problem!
good luck!
You have a blocked pipe somewhere kim... fuel is not reaching the engine, hence the deaths...
