Which is the best LPG white van to buy?
2 Answers
As you all know I am considering buying a small white van to do courier work in, but not sure which one to buy. Despite all the firms calling our fuel costs measly, I beg to differ. My fuel costs would be huge if I were driving this van all day, and I think I need to get a Gas Version of a van. Have spoken to Vauxhall, and they do not do factory made vans; I would have to get one converted from new. Can you tell me if any manufacturer does Gas Vans from new, and what sort of mileage do they do? If I have to get one converted then how much would it cost?
Many thanks for any information on Astra and Escort size gas vans.
Failing this I will have to get a diesel one, I suppose.

As regards MPG its usually about the same its just gas is nearly 1/2 the price so it equates to nearly double the MPG of petrol. I have driven 4 x4's & vans that have been converted and i couldnt tell the difference, just do your homework on the company that fits it.

I drive a Rover 75 which was converted ex works by a Rover authorised supplier - now sadly defunct :( but they later moved the work in house until they went bust too:(
