i seem to think my sierra 1.8l car is using too much fuel.it is using �20 just for 100 miles why ?

Petrol leak ? can you smell petrol when your in or near your car ?

Could be the auto choke stuck on. This means the mixture will contain more petrol but would not be noticed if the car was used only for short distances.

You get less petrol for your money now.  �20 doesn't get you a full tank anymore

Changing or cleaning your air filter may help, also get a new fuel filter fitted. This worked wonders for me as economy improved noticeably.

It should certainly get you more than 100 miles, fibifooz.  I would say get the car checked fora leak in your petrol tank

take your foot off the floor a bit, if you drive it sensibly it is amazing how much petrol it saves, eratic driving or just flooring it a little bit can seriously make it drink more.
