4 planets lined up. Great sight !

On the east coast of Australia and looking at the rare alignment of 4 planets, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter. All clearly visible with the naked eye. Apparently it won't happen again until 2056. I'm not sure if it will be visible in the UK but worth getting up for if it is.

Yes, and although Jupiter is so far away, it looks brighter than Mercury or Mars, presumably because it's so damn big !

On the south coast, all 4 will be visible above the horizon by just after 4:30am, with sunrise about 50 minutes earlier.

According to BB it might be visible in the UK, weather permitting of course. Should be around for a couple of days but they will start getting further apart.
