one of the rear seats in my ford focus Cmax is not locking properly into place. the two locking things that lock into the holes in the floor are in different positions - one is extended (as the manual says it should be), the other is not extended and I can't release it. I'm tempted to yank it with pliers, but am scared of breaking it further. Anyone had a similar problem? any ideas?

No - I think there was a stone in the hole it locks into and I shoved it in without knowing. Car is going to garage on Tuesday anyway so i will ask them then. Nobody sits in the seat!!
Before you take the car to the Garage, use your house hover to try and remove the stone Mummyh.
