Which is safer for a family of five - a Renault Scenic RX4 or a Volvo V70?

Undoubtedly the V70 - the airbags all round etc plus SIPS - as a plus the second value wins hands down against any Renault - my sister had a brand new Scenic and got rid of it after 3 months a it spent two thirds of the time trying to have the electrics fixed in the main dealer cos they did not know how to cure the cutting out in the engine when she was driving along - she know has a Mercedes A140 and all is tickety boo. I have the Volvo V70 and no complaints - it does everything I want it to do plus the kids love the big comfy seats. Good luck
