I am wanting to get a cat as a pet for my little girls. OH is refusing to get a kitten because of the potential damage to our new furniture. I am thinking a mature cat may be the way forward and would like to rehouse one if possible. Does anyone know anywhere in the West Yorkshire area which deals in rehousing cats. Thanks x

Some mature cats are not much better.. well mine isn't anyway. Maybe we didn't bring her up right but she claws everything.. apart from her scratching post "/

google rspca centres. we got a 2 yr old kitty from the rspca, and he is lovely :o)

Make sure You get a cat that likes kids, mine is nearly 5 years old and is terrified of all Kids.

We have had cats for many many years and I am afraid some cats do damage furniture not just kittens - so be careful or you may hate the poor thing because he or she clicks the furniture, curtains etc.
