Motorway Roadworks

A lot of motorway work is done at night. Not so dangerous then.

plenty of blokes standing around admiring the scenery plant drivers sitting in there cabs drinking coffee & reading the paper...

Theses workers do get frustrated having to wait about.

I actually deliver into these works. It is one of the most frustrating set of works I've been on. Each gang has a little barrier to stop you going through the works past their machine (holding you up), accidents and breakdowns hold you up, there are jobsworths whose only job seems to be to jump out and ask why you haven't got your reflective trousers on, even though he has parked in a site access (strictly against the rules!) and caused a pile up on the main carriageway as a truck is trying to come in at about 40mph. Believe me, its not just you, 'the public', who are peeed off with this set of works!
