Recorded delivery with wrong initial on letter
8 Answers
Good evening
Not sure if this is the correct place to ask this but here goes, a friend of mine has sent me a letter containing some money that he owed me via post office recorded delivery but he has put the wrong initial on the letter ( D when it should be B) will I still be able to collect it on monday when I go to the delivery office or will it be sent back? I have the note left by the postman and plenty of ID but none of it has my first name starting with a D as this chap only knows me by my nickname which does start with a D.

The sender is paying a small charge on top of the stamp to make sure they get a signature to prove that the item has arrived at the address it was sent to, that's all. Special Delivery is the only way that is "secure" and trackable.
