All racing cars have them, the only problem would be carrying them with you? Can they not introduce a Steering wheel that was light in weight & removable to deter car thefts? Funny / Stupid? I'm waiting for it, think about it

I remember the Ford Zephyr and Zodiac. Copies of huge American cars of that era. Didn't both have the bench front seat and column shift?
That's them scotman. I remember sitting in between my parents during the 60's. No seatbelts at all.
To answer your question, I thought about it, briefly, Stupid !

So that accounts for racing driver then does it? they are all stupid.
Chrissa, I loved the early Zodiacs, I would love to have one now, built with such style and character not like modern day cheese wedge cars that all look the same with plastic interiors.
Absolutely Ratter. Back then you could tell what the make of a car was just by seeing it come towards you. Now, (if you're interested to identify a car on the road), you have to look at the name disc on the grill. As you said, they are all the same shape. Boring.
What were the two big Vauxhalls that were made in the sixties?
Question Author
Cresta / Velox
Question Author
you had to be carefull going into the cresta as you could bang your knee on the insert of the Drivers door.
Victor and Velox ?
of course the Creasta!! I believe the Velox was only 3 speed?
or even Cresta.
Yes, I remember those but they're not the ones I was thinking of. Maybe I've got the make wrong. They were huge square cars with lots of chrome.
Question Author
The early Cresta had fins on the rear N/S OFF/S. Chrissa, I had a Green / Black one it was in the 60s, column 3 speed change it used to go like sht off a shovel.

The Victor was your early '60s Astra.
i think they should bring back passcodes...or at least have the option to use one or have it disabled...as it is now, if i lose my car keys in the vicinity of the car - the cars gone as easy as that...with a code, they would simply have no chance of guessing it...

my old car had one and i thought it was a great idea

as for people saying they forgot it, well as i say you could disable it, but if you choose something memorable then you wouldnt forget it...i chose i parents phone number...no way anyone would guess that
>>>>i chose i parents phone number...no way anyone would guess that <<<<[sic]

I have no idea what my own phone number is let alone alone anybody else's, I also to carry a prompt with me for my Cash Point card.

A code would be useless to me!!
well then ratter you choose 1111 or your birthday...the point is no-one would guess it would they...

even if they know your birthdate, they would not know that is what you have chosen to use.... 3 goes and car locks
