I have an intermittent miss fire on the above car. It only happens after a spell of prolonged high speed driving on the motorway. It usually occurs on the slip road after I've decelerated then accelerated again, say in the services car park or at a roundabout.
The garage I use have put it on a diagnostic machine but could find nothing. I mentioned to the mechanic that it could be the fuel filter, but he said I'd get the miss fire when the car was accelerating normally.
Anyone got any ideas?

i was told to fill the tank with about £30 of super v diesel /petrol and then add a bottle of injector cleaner and drive at high speeds for about 20-30 mins...it apparently cleans out any build up etc
i did this the other night and drove on the motorway...cant say whether it worked yet though, as havent driven enough since to test it...but cant hurt to try...the fluid is about £7-8 or so, and the fuel is only a bit more expensive than usual
