New automobile safety product to the marketplace

I have devised and built a new automobile safety product .After considerable time effort spent researching the viability of this device ,I am unable to find anything alike either in the stores or the internet.My problem is how to proceed to bring to the marketplace.Having researched the patent applications there is none with an end result as simple effective and low cost to produce as mine.If anybody can offer advice or assistance on how to realise this project and bring to the worldwide marketplace,I will be most grateful Thanks

Hi, as you know, prob the best place to start is with a patent laywer, someone like the Chart Inst of Patent Agents http://www.cipa.org.uk/. If you disclose to any other party, you'll make your application process more difficult if not ultimately invalid. Business link can help with funding www.businesslink.org/smart (UK Gov backed). Also, have a look at www.halfbakery.com which is an excellent ideas and discussions site (but don't give too much info away whilst scouting around).
