opening a bonnet

hi, i'v got a little bit of a problem, i need to get into my bonnet but cannot open it, im assuming the cable has slipped off because it is unresponsive from within the car, how do i get it open from the front, thanks

I've done it previously on other cars from underneath (sometimes have to remove a plastic splash tray) but it doesn't look that easy.

You really should consider getting shot of that car and getting a decent one!

haha, i only just got the car, haha
Have you tried getting someone to push down on the bonnet as you pull the release? The cable mey just be stretched, not broken and unable to move the latch lever when it's under full tension.

it isnt broken i dont think, i think it has just come apart at the joining, because i was in a rush when i was putting it back together, ha
