Ford transit . Indicators stay on but don't flash

I have an o2 reg Mk 6 Ford transit.
When i use either the near or off side indicators they just stay lit, and refuse to flash. All the bulbs on the outside are working, as each side stay on depending on which side you are using. So all bulbs are working.
Occasionally when i first start the vehicle they do flash a few times before staying lit again.
Each side has a separate relay, so i can't imagine that both relays would become faulty at the same time.
I'm at a lose with this one.

It's a double relay used. Replace it if still not working after giving it a wriggle and a few taps.

I'll take at look, but according to the users manual it has 2 separate relays. One for each side.

Relay, earths or bulbs. That's is all it can be so check methodically.

never come across a vehicle with seperate flasher relays for each side, sure you are looking at the correct relay(s)

;flasher relay is on top of steering column down by pedals,basically it is under by pedals but on top of the column shaft you see running to engine bay ;

Some trannies are ..
There are thousands of variations .. and only a dealer manaul .. or the fuse-box layout on lid will give the correct one.
Mondeo also share double relays .. although for wipers.

Dealer manual does say 2 separate relays.
Thanks for the replies. I have taken it all on board and will take a look and post back when i get time (and daylight) as i'm working 12 hour shifts.
