to say thank you to those of you who gave me advice on car buying, and also a big thank you to those who reassured me that my sisters car door shouldn't be a big problem to fix. I have now bought a car, and have taken the advice given to me on answerbank. Car was bought from a private owner, very legitimate people and honest. Lovely Astra 2008 i paid £5000 for it. 26000 miles on clock, owned by a young lady. car people owned the car prior to her, and still is under 9 month warranty.

I have done all the relevant checks and car is great. Had a test drive, in all gears and several roads, rough/smooth/uphill, nice drive. 1.6i, 7 spoke alloys, black piano dashboard, semi leather seats. My partner checked engine etc, oil, bodywork, mileage - everything sound.
