I'm looking to get a smaller car soon and I'm after as much poke from a small engine as possible.

Looking for makes/models between the years 1999 and 2003.

Don't want Skoda/VW/ Audi.

Some cars get around 100bhp from a 1.4 engine.

Will probably have a 1.5 engine as my limit for cheaper tax bracket or maybe if newer and a 1.6 then has to have low emmisions for tax.

Anyone out there got a pocket rocket they would recommend?

TIA

Renault Twingo Cup, 131bhp.
The Ford Sportka would be excellent... 1.6 engine with 95bph. I know my normal Ka is very nippy and it's only a 1.3 engine.
Sorry I tried to post a youtube link but it obviously didn't work.

206 HDi Pugeot, goes like sht off a shovel, £30 road Tax.
Friend of mine just bought an 02 saxo vts. got a 1.6 engine but its a really light car so goes pretty well. keeps up with our fiesta st (2Litre)
Buy a Mini or Metro and then install a Spitfire 30 litre engine it in. That should be enough power for a small car like that.

Hope this helps.
