Good god, the garage 200 metres from my house had a fuel delivery this morning - they had been empty for two days! We now have motorists queueing down the road, around the roundabout, blocking exit and entrance to the supermarket! Nobody can get anywhere, we have a police van and at least 6 police officers trying to calm everybody down! Completely mad.........

Its amazing. Where do they advertise as its amazing how quickly words gets around that there is petrol in town and they swarm like honeybees. Your town will probably be on tele tonight. Stand outside the garage and wave so we can all see you :>)

Lol, it might be TOH. Better go and put my lippie on!
Everything seems normal in North London.
There was traffic chaos near me too with cars blocking a very busy main road as they queued to get onto the forecourt.
I haven't filled up for a week and won't need to for another week. I assume many people are simply topping up with small amounts.
I'm not going to queue up unless I'm really desperate.
Maybe garages should introduce a minimum delivery of say £10.

You're not that far from me Mark, Im Greater London. Guess once a few start a queue it just snowballs, or should that be smowballs...... boom boom!
Good. I'll be spending tomorrow and Sunday in North London. I've got enough to get there, just not back too. Although I wouldn't actually mind if I got stuck there.
A petrol station up the road had a massive queue there yesterday, a petrol tanker waiting to deliver to said station was stuck in the queue. A lot of the stations round here have run out of fuel, Tesco seem to be keeping up with demand though. I reckon the roads will be lovely and clear this weekend as no one is going to want to use any fuel.
I have just filled up at my local station, didn't have to queue, I am not panic buying but needed to fill up because I am taking the three grandsons to gullivers world next week, wish me luck, two hours driving with two three year olds and a seven year old sat in the back of the car.
On the radio this morning they were saying people were queuing at a dry garage because there might be a delivery this afternoon ! Have we lost our common sense or have we become a nation of sheep ?
The trouble is I'm sure the vast majority aren't panic buying they just need petrol. I had to go out late last night to queue at my nearest service station (Tesco) simply because I was already on fumes and couldn't have got anywhere without running out. They only had super unleaded left as it happens.
Don't you insult sheep, vulcan or I'll send the girls around on their turbo-charged Rams and duff you over.
My apologies to DT and sheep everywhere, I was clearly thinking of lemmings.
