I've had problems with the build up of wax and consequent hearing impairment for many years now.
When I notice things are getting worse again I drop some almond oil in for a week or so then make an appointment with my health centre to have the offending residue washed out with water.
To try and cut down the time that I'm completely deaf in the treated ear I'm asking if anyone knows of a safe alternative to the almond oil which might act quicker in softening the wax.
Look forward to any info, thanks.
I've tried branded stuff like Otex in the past and had some discomfort as a result. I had wondered if a different "weight" of oil would have a quicker effect so thanks for your suggestions so far.
Sqad, do you mean there's no real alternative to almond oil or something else, you didn't give much to go on. :)
my doctor who was a specialist at the ent dept of a local hospital told me to use this for a week before he "vacums" my ears, he uses a special long thing attached to a vacum pump, the results are amazing.
