I would soooo hate to live there. I commute over the A628 every day and the number of HGV's roaring through there 24/7 has to be seen to be believed.
A good deal of the houses on that narrow section of road are up for sale, no suprises there.
It seems to have got worse since they put in the Stocksbridge bypass.
Question is: why on earth did they close down the Woodhead electric railway????
It is complete lunacy in my view.

For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.Xud, I used to use the Woodhead pass very often, it was a good short cut to the ( M1) (A1) (M18) I did pity the people en-route to the woodhead pass but what can you do? I think it's up to the councils to sort out the roads / passes fro the end of the ( M57) as they get enough money from the road tax of HGVs etc.
