Courier Network - are they genuine?
11 Answers
I've seen an ad for a company called Courier Network, offering employment on a self-employed basis delivering small parcels, packets etc. They want an up front fee to join which has made me suspect a scam. Does anyone have any experience of them - good or bad? Any advice much appreciated.

Couriers is a very easy business to set up, and hence it is ideal for the scammers because of the huge market of folks who realise they could possibly do it.
Paying the fee will guarantee you nothing in terms of work; you have no control of the price offered for the work done; there is no reason why an upfront payment is justified. Your money will just disappear without trace.

Yeah, I applied for it, and got accepted, no interview, nothing! Then asked for £70 up front to set up the work, self employed and instructions, i've just had a nother look, and the same advert now comes up under the name 'drivingwork'. That has been changed recently, I would leave, and will leave, well alone, why would any decent job advert ask for money up front, they will just take the money and run, funny how they have changed their name,
hi , i checked it out myself , it seemed good to start with , i then got 3 friends to type in courier on google search and all seemed ok , i then questioned courier network and they gave a possitive response . left it a few days and then today ( saturday ) my 3 friends tried again , surprise = courier network not listed , use your own judgement but my money is not going that way for sure .
Hi, i totally agree that courier-network.net is very suspicious. i did a bit of research and found a review website which seems to have uncovered it as an outright scam, here is the link http:// freelan ce-cour ...cour ier-net work-sc am/
Don't get involved with Courier Network whatever you do! They promise a refund of your £69 within the first 60 days if you're not entirely satisfied--which I wasn't as their service is very amateurish and impossible to make a living from as a courier--but to this day, several months on, I haven't been able to get my money back from them. Actually, today I'm contacting Trading Standards about them to see if I can get any further that way.
