My Friend Broke My Car

A friend borrowed my car for a few days, and managed to have an accident.

It's just the corner of the front bumper thing, but I've spoken to Toyota Insurance, and apparently they'll have to replace the whole bumper assembly housing unit thing, with the lights, and parking sensors, etc.

Just thought I'd mention it.

are they covering their share of this....these things happen but as long as she is being reasonable, esp re if you have a no claims protection.

I hadn't really thought about the no claims.

I suppose err "she" will pay the excess.

I wonder if I can pick a nice courtest car. Last time I had a car repaired, I got a Jag for a week.

Just make sure it REALLY is a courtesy car you get to replace it whilst yours is being repaired and not a credit hire vehicle. Else lots of grief generally follows.....

Sounds as if you could get a garage that does bodywork to sort it out, much less costly

Last time it was a hire car. It came from a company called something Europe, or European, or something. The other driver's insurance company divied up for it.
