A charity I support was giving a talk tonight. St.Pancras Past and Present. I love architecture, history and St.Pancras so just up my street I thought.
Now this chap gives two talks. The aforementioned one and St.Pancras the Saint.
Some eejit on the committee booked the wrong one!
I now know more than I ever wanted to about St. Sodding Pancras, his mum and dad, his beheading, Augustine, Constantine, Dicwhatsittine, Pope Gregory and the rise of Christianity in Rome.
By 8.15 I was chewing the chair in front of me and when, at 8.30 they had a non-alcoholic refreshment break, I was out the back door, in my car and flying up the A14 before you could say tickets please.
Holy Mother! My day went from bad to worse.
The red is open and I may well finish the bottle.

Question Author
Boxy. I bloody well know why they named the station after him!

Methinks Our Lady might not be with you tonight after your outburst. Ten Aves after you have finished the bottle might help to change her mind.
well, tell us then!

Question Author
Baza. I will get you a ticket for his next talk! St.Pancras died at fourteen. I felt I had been there for his whole lifetime. I wanted the station.:-(
You can't get to Rome from St Pancras, anyway.
Funnily enough I visited an Italian version of St Pancras last year - a delightful place.

One whole, flaming hour and could still be going on for all I know.
Have you tried saying the Rosary in full?
gness when i used to take school children on tours around the station st pancras was covered in no time, he was a lad who was killed some years ago, they seemed happy with that and wanted to explore the hotel cellar.
Question Author
Boxy. You would have got there in my car tonight, the mood I was in.
Dave. I would love to see your photos. Just no pics of the Saint. He is imprinted on my mind after the number I saw tonight.
Mike. I have said the Rosary, led the Rosary and almost cocked it up at a funeral rehearsal last year. I can Holy Mary with the best of them.
the Old St Pancras church is rather nice. The station looks a lot better since it was spruced up, and so does King's Cross. I forget whether it is Boudicca or Harry Potter who is buried under platform 10.
Boudicca, jno!
jno it is not harry p but i cant spell boud....
