Yes, this is in the right place but I want to see if the public are aware, Not for the HGV Drivers to answer but the general public, how many hours per day does this person work & would YOU think He / she was safe. & do you think he / she earns a vast amount?

well if she is a truckie hooker, an absolute bucket-load and yes, the hours must be horrendous and the accommodation cramped. How much job satisfaction, well, hard to say, so to speak........

I think with any legislation re working hours there will always be variations in performance. Many tests have been done on HGV drivers with sleep apnoea and where they thought they were getting a full nights sleep they weren't.

Just one example.

Don't they have to have a tachograph or something so that they are restricted to the amount of hours they can drive without a break. Is that what you mean?

They have to abide by the Taco Tilli, & yes, they have to have a break after____ hrs, its the TOTAL HOURS I'm on about.

Iknow i wouldnt want any of my family to drive more than 3 hours without a break.
I have no idea what they earn at all.
