wiser no, more careful yes.
I thought it was good - v informative and does make you aware of why speed limits are there.
I too found it interesting and it appears to have stuck. I even use the speed limiter on some roads especially if I know they've got average speed cameras.
I did the full day course a few years back and was impressed..not so sure about the half day though.
Funny you should ask that - just been on one

Got a mix of some good stuff

Some outdated statistics

Some urban myth

And a lot of prejudicial opinion from the instructor (ex-police officer) who clearly has a bee in her bonet about things like risk assessment.

Most of the material on screen was OK but a bit out of date - watch out when they go "off piste" though.

The one really good thing I learnt (which I guess could save my life) was a bad habit I didn't realise I had until it was mentioned in passing - If you're waiting to turm right with oncoming traffic *never* turn your front wheels in anticipation - if you're rear-ended you'll be pushed into the oncoming traffic.

Probably something everybody's taught now but I'd never even thought of it
Yes. Very informative. learnt more than I thought I would. I believe it should be a compulsory course for all new drivers and existing ones.
