I bought one of the above a couple of years ago and I curse the day I did.I know you have one of the choices of direct route or quickest route, but mine always gives me the "ROUNDABOUT" route.I thought that I'd give it one more go on the I.O.Wight.I mean it can't go wrong there can it???? It did.My question is can it be re-calibrated using the PC.Thanks!!

I have had Garmins without such problems, so it sounds like yours is faulty.

I suggest locating the 'reset' button hidden away somewhere, and pressing that.

Perhaps also go into settings and select restore to factory settings.

Thanks for that I'll have a "butchers" later.
Sorry to hijack...but any idea how to get my garmin to start talking to me. I can't find anything in settings and I have a really important appt today!

Thanks.
No idea NoM but if nobody else replies, this Google search may help:

If you know your model number, add it to the end of the search keywords
NoM, go into the volume bit, and cancel 'Mute' if it is selected.

If volume is down to zero, increase it.
Done that already, hopkirk, but no joy.

The other day when I went into settings, languages came up and I selected English, but now when I go into settings, that option doesn't appear!
Same advice then, locate the hidden reset button.
I hav a tom tom Go which when switched on came up with a screen displaced diagonally but when switched off and on again rectified itself. When I updated it via the PC/web this fault was corrected. So if nothing else works give it a try.
