Reversing sensors on Jag XJ6
On a Jaguar XJ6, 2004, there are 4 reversing sensors visible in the rear bumper but they don't work. Is this because they are faulty or could it be the sensor bits are put in as standard but not necessarily connected?

Also I can turn my reversing sensors on or off by means of a control panel on the dash, has the Jag got this facility if it has then has anyone turned them off.

Turn the ignition on (but don't start the car) put it in reverse and listen very closely to the sensors, you should be able to hear them ticking, if you can the sensors are working.
From a quick google... it seems the speaker that makes the beep fails on them fairly often, so if the sensors are ticking but the system doesn't beep it could well be that.
