They love bacon.

We found this out in Wales last year, having no luck with the bait that came with the kit and the people next to us told us to use bacon.To be honest, we thought it was just the locals taking the mick out of tourists but got hold of some and it worked a treat.

you will love it - if you have not done it before.
i took my god-daughters crabbing some years ago when we were on holiday at the coast.

one tip is to have your bait in two or three positions down the line and to just hold and wait ..
as you feel the line getting heavier - pull up slowly - and hopefully you will have some luck . . . if you jerk or pull up quickly they will drop off.
