relacquering paintwork

My wifes BMW Mini has the lacquer lifting off on the roof.. is it an expensive job to have this removed and relacquered?

Yes, it will be expensive, and if you want the roof to match the rest of the car it will be even more expensive.

Hi ummmm.. I dont know how it has happened.. the car has a multi couloured "python" paint job it cost an awful lot of money it looks different colours when viewed from different angles.. the area above the driver and passenger doors is just bubbling up it is just the lacquer .. i thought it could be a simple job ie just wiping the old stuff off with some chemicals and redoing it.. but obviously its not that simple..
With that '' magic '' paint, they will have to respray the whole panel, as it is impossible to match it up.

Get all the cars details, Mod No/ Chassis No/ Contact BMW UK Customer Service Dept, explain the problem, you did not give the year of your car but with your description "BMW Mini" It can't be that old, the lacquer should not be lifting at this time of the cars life, has any chemical been spilt onto the roof?
you cant just remove the laquer,complete repaint is the only option.
