I've got right into me car painting in Forza 3.

Toying with the idea of buying Forza 4 now its fairly cheap. How does the livery editor compare with its predecessor?

Can be a bit labourious in F3. I got up at 5am and spent 2 hours making a 'Dunlop' and 'Yuasa' logo for my Honda Civic Type R in BTCC livery.

Also can I port my graphics over from F3 to F4?

There is an achievement for importing from 3 to 4 so I'm sure that you can bring graphics over too.
Never tried the painting in F4 and only did in F3 to get the achievement.
Some of the designs are jaw dropping though.

Thanks Matt. Well I've placed an order for it so should be here soon.

Yes some of the portrait work is amazing - all created from basic shapes.
Bit late for forza 4 aren't you, forza horizon is out tomorrow (which I'll be getting tomorrow I hope.... Level 65 in 4 now :))

You can import vinyl groups over from 3 to 4 by going to Career menu > Paint car > My vinyl groups in forza 4

lol chuck, I'm never cutting edge!

The way I see it Horizon is something I will probably get for Christmas - its not Forza 5. The playable demo looks pretty good. There will still be a big online community racing on Forza 4, I cant see people migrating to Horizons exclusivley. Both games will co-exist side by side.

I'm surprised to see the Top Gear track at Dunsfold aerodrome included in Forza 4. This has always strongly been an American franchise. Maybe Top Gear is big over there too?
Top gear is huge in America and there is a lot of top gear in influence in F4, some of the cut scene bits are narrated by Clarkson.

The online play in any racing game annoys me slightly sometimes, I can hold my own in most races until some random person smashes me off the track!

I just hope I can bring some of my favourite cars over from F4 to horizon... such as my normal weapon of choice, the RS200

LOL Triggs - stick to hiding behind dumpsters and informing mates of 'tangos 2 clicks from my OP' ;-)

Yes I liked the RS200 in Forza 3. It accelarated like stink but just didnt have the top end to compete on the longer tracks.
F4 for me is broken online as I can never find lobbies which is a shame. I play other games online all the time but F4 won't have any of it.

*spoier alert* Triggs organises an in-house dogging meet with his unit.

I'm now up and running in Forza 4. Going through the labourious process of starting of in a Toyota Yaris or similar. Jeez in Forza 3 I had a fleet of Moslers!

Bit frustrating that you can only import vinyl groups and not whole paint jobs. I suppose there are techincal difficulties with the cars being modelled slightly differently?
