astra mk2 heated rear window

Hi All
Have problem with above - suddenly stopped working. checked fuse - ok + continuity on screen ok. any advice on what to check next switch or is there a relay.

Have you been working / cleaning the area where the connections are on the rear screen Tony? have you knocked the connectors off?

No don't think so - have checked voltage across connectors to rear window heater - 0 volts

In view of what you say so far, I suspect the relay or maybe a dodgy switch. Try working through the system with your voltmeter.

Try flicking the switch ON/OFF/ON/OFF Tony, did you try a different fuse in? did you clean where the fues sits?

TWR will try changing fuse - but think it is common to glove box light which is working ok - will just have to work through circuit I guess - car electrics lol

How does the power get to the tailgate?

If it is a wire, it has probably broken due to years of opening and shutting.

If it is contacts, make sure they are clean and clear of obstruction.
