honest answer from someone in a franchised dealer/body shop....
NO !!
you wont find any staff members having this treatment , we sell & apply superguard, the basic treatment kit costs £29.95 !!+ vat, its sold by the sales guys for £ 300... application consists of no more than a good wax...2-3 hours max..
It wont invalidate your warranty...

Personally I do not think it is worth it , if you go ahead seek the service of a car detailing company to do it before collection of the car not the garage where the car was purchased, many people do this. my wife had this treatment done on her new car a few years ago and I could never see the difference.
Is it this stuff ?
Looks like you can just buy it and DIY

I had one of my cars treated (I didn't pay - it was one of several "deal-clinchers") and was quite impressed. A year later (on a second new car) I didn't have it done....but used CarPlan Paint Treatment which was available at Halfords at a tenner. To be honest, there wasn't much difference although I did re-apply the CarPlan every year.
I certainly wouldn't pay the asking price for these dealer treatments.. they are just big money-earners for the dealer.
