Any Mercedes Owners - Advice??
The amber engine light has come on this morning. The car is running very well, serviced last month, but anyway there is something going on..... I will contact the garage asap but what is strange is that the cars performance has dramitically reduced, I put my foot down and it limps up through the gears seemingly to keep the rpm right down. Is this a safety feature of the car, to prevent further damage (I know some cars do this) therefore the computer is doing this on purpose??? I have misplaced the manual, ofcourse!!!
Its a 2007 C200 CDI Auto.
Anyone know?

That yellow engine icon is pretty vague so could be anything.
Get down the garage sharpish to get it plugged in and don't drive it about unless you're going to get it fixed!

Thanks.
Its booked in for 2pm tomorrow, I had to drive it 20 miles today but its being left until tomorrow afternoon now! Yeah it just limps as if it is in "survival mode" to get me to the garage without worsening the problem. Clever stuff but without the manual you panic and start thinking £££££££££ !!!!!!!!
