Well it started snowing at 8.30 am, and is now coming down pretty heavy, and its windy too so the snow is coming sideways. Everywhere is completely white. Son is on way home as they have shut his school early.

So ive made a sausage casserole in the slow cooker, logged on to talk to you lovely people, and look outsie as the snow gets deeper.

Downside is that my MIL's party for tomorrow night is getting to be a bit of a disaster as people are already cancelling due to being unable to get there(some were driving from Wales). Oh well, all the more food for us lot! : )

its pretty heavy here and we've closed work so i came home early :-) the retail park where i work is mental, everyone is going shopping mad as apparently its the end of the world!

ive decided on meatballs and spag for dinner, mind you that does mean me coming out from under the duvet...
Question Author
I know, people are panic buying like mad - why do they do that??
Pretty heavy here as well.
It's the same at chrimbo time, shops never will open again attitude.

Hate to mention this, but we have blue skies, sunshine but a biting cold wind.
We set the alarm as normal but both schools shut (got a text) - it has been such a long day and its still snowing with more forecast every day until at least Tuesday.
Question Author
It would be great if we didnt have to go outside lol.
I went to Lidl this morning and it was just as normal. No one seemed to be buying more than normal.
The only extra thing I bought was a huge tub of de-icing salt. My OH nearly died when he went to fetch it from the car. He thought it was a tub of paint and he was going to have to do some decorating!
The news I've seen is only showing about 2 inches at most. OK, the pictures might not show it as little as that, but Canada and so on manage to operate in deeper snowfalls.
Tilly, how's your phone? (sorry smow)

I've stocked up on cat litter to cut through the ice (if we get any) We seem to be in a pocket which is missing it all. Thankfully.

Good afternoon excelsior : )

Yes I saw a car skid off the road earlier, it doesnt take much snow to make the roads very slippy.

' i didn't realise it was deep or i wouldn't of let her go.'
