Used to spray them with some rubber/nylon lubricant spray every 6 months which solved the problem. Bear in mind this was almost 20 years ago and not sure how old your Fiesta is or if the suspension is the same. The bushes were at the end of a type of short torsion bar - one on each side. If you looked underneath immediately behind the front bumper you could see them twisting if the car was gently bounced up & down.
