How have you checked the battery? Immobiliser, has that given any trouble?
How did you check the battery, rd?

All of the ignition lights come on and the wipers, windows etc work and I also tried jump leads
If it wont start or turn over off jump leads then it may be a solenoid, starter motor or a fault on the low tension switch side of the solenoid
Has this only just started? If the battery is the top up type ( Yes 2013 they still have them!!! for some) check if it's topped up above the lead plates, check the + - on the terminals & make sure they are tight, check the Starter's connections + Solenoid, When you try to start, turn on the head lights & get someone to see if the lights dim ( Go out) when you have turned the key, if yes, Battery.

Do diesels still have glow plugs?
It sounds like when my ancient diesel Clio had faulty ones.
