Hi,
I have recently purchased a 2005 Astra but i keep getting a coolant level warning come up on the display. I have checked the water but that is not a problem as it is full and the car is not overheating either, any ideas what i need to check?
Thanks

A faulty sensor maybe ??
Often the coolant level sensor is incorporated within the cap of the expansion tank/fill port. If so, there will be at least two wires connected at this location. To minimise the effects caused by a steep road gradient – there may be a small vessel attached to the cap, housing the sensor, which may have become blocked.
Air lock in the system, does the heater go Hot / Cold / Hot /Cold? as said the sensor. you said the coolant is full, is it up to the max mark? if under this mark & with movement of the car, the sensor may indicate coolant loss.

Its a sensor fault in the base of the expansion bottle - they gunge up - easily replaced.
