Yes. I got stopped by a police patrol. They asked whether the car was mine, and weren't satisfied with a simple "Yes". They demanded documentary proof, as if we all carry log books in the glove compartment, but I did have my driving licence on me and they could relate that to the DVLA record of registered keeper. The reason for all this was the plate had been cloned. What was odd in this is that my plate is personal, the equivalent of PUL 1, which is not a number which witnesses to a crime are likely to forget. But the truth is the villains aren't bank robbers but petrol thieves defeating service station cameras or just people trying to avoid prosecution for traffic offences.
