So I want to buy either of these http://www.imperialcarcentre.co.uk/used/volkswagen/transporter/25-t28-swb-pbv-tdi-6-seater/scunthorpe/lincolnshire/13681927/
or this

One is a honda crv and one is a vw transporter kombi.

What are the pros and cons of both I cant make my mind up. I wanted a 4x4 for when we went skiing but there is nothing you cant do without snow chains. With the vw you get so much Room to transport stuff about! If you are buying a property to rennovate then the vw van would be the best right? We have 2 kids and one on the way and we are forever moving from one place to the next like gypsies lol. I would like to drive around in a crv because of the luxury but a vw combo is pretty cool too right?!

I'd go for practicality rather than luxury at the moment - you'll have plenty of time for a cool car when your kids have grown up.
I would go VW great cars and it sounds like it would fit in to your life style.
I really can't understand why you're choosing between these two. They're like apples and oranges. I had a 57 plate CRV EX. Nice car if a bit plasticky inside. Lots of kit (sat nav, cruise control etc).
are they left-hand drive?
Crv's?

zacs so you would not chose the VW?
Question Author
They are not LHD no they are from the UK
Depends on what's important to you

Honda have a much better reliability rating

http://www.reliabilityindex.com/manufacturer

But they do have a bit of an image problem in the UK

I would choose the VW if I were keen on camping, wanted to start a taxi business or start drug dealing. I would choose the crv if I wanted part time 4wd capability and wanted to carry myself and others round in a bit of comfort. I really can't see why you are deciding between the two. They're chalk and cheese.
CRV + trailer.

to be honest I think using a vw transporter would be pretty ineffective for drug dealing. But I could be wrong. I am going for the vw never the less. Thanks for the advice
