Cyclists think they have a right to go through red lights ?
Are they supposed to keep to the left still when on the road as today I have seen some weaving in and out of cars going from left to right all over the road.

because there are a good percentage of them who are arrogant idiots
In my town we have cycle lanes. Lots opf paint. One is less than six foot across a footpath. Another about 3 foot. Nevertheless the cycle lanes on the road are rarely used. The footpath is the preferred route. No lights, no bells, just pedestrians jumping into a hedge. Or splattered.
They think red lights are only for motorist, and not for them, and the deserve the right of way?
the thing is there is a fair percentage of arrogant idiots who drive cars too. In a car Vs cyclist collision, cyclist will invariably come off worse

It's shocking really, in busy traffic they were even riding 2 abreast which isnt illegal but not a great thing to do in busy town traffic. The mind boggles.
I think it's because unlike drivers, cyclists need no formal training to go on the road. Some of them I have seen are asking to get hit one of these days.

I'm a cyclist too and I try to observe red lights and pay attention to the rules of the road. Don't always succeed, but at least I try. I think we ought to introduce a road cycling licence even if it's fairly minimal.
whats worng with riding 2 abreast?
I do not drive. Do not want to be run down by a cyclist on the pavement
Is it not illegal to cycle on the pavement?
I don't object to cycles 2 abreast as long as they are well lit, nearly hit two about an hour ago weaving in and out , one without lights, had to mount the kerb but still missed them.Nearly as bad as cars with defective lights.
I can live with it(riding 2 abreast) where the speed is 20 mph but when they do it on 40 mph roads and make it impossible to pass and slows everyone down. Bedknobs, if cyclists ride in single file. there are more opportunities to pass them and keep the traffic flowing
I fail to see why a lot of cyclists cycle the way they do. No lights, dressed in black. I drive a lot for business and I'm expected to see them in unlit lanes, otherwise it's my fault. When travelling for personal duties my preferred conveyance is my bicycle and my personal safety is my own responsibility. That means lights when visibility is poor, fluorescent clothing, observation of the highway code and in general, not behaving like a tit-head.
In London the cyclists race across red traffic lights, and are a real danger to pedestrians. Idiots.
Highway code, rule 66

//never ride more than two abreast, and ride in single file on narrow or busy roads and when riding round bends//

looks like two abreast is Ok
They are a law unto themselves!
same reason they think they can ride on the pavement I suppose.
even out in the sticks i come accross cyclists in the dark with no lights or visible clothing riding down country lanes, when you nearly have them off they start waving their arms about and blaming the motorist !!!
many are idiots who think the law doesn't apply to them. I wish i had a penny for every time one rode over a red light or cycled on the pavement, i would be filthy rich.
Also, overweight middle-aged men in Lycra with a saddle stuck up their sweaty jacksy are an eyesore.
do you need to look like a complete tw*t to ride a bike ??
Try doing this next time!
