Car Squealing

Squealing type sound coming from car , when i move off first thing in the morning .

Any Ideas ?

Loose fan belt / or other belt potentially. Alternatively, have you noticed a lack of cats in your area?

Fan belt?...needs replacing/adjusting.

Fan belt is an old fashioned term from the days when fans were belt driven.

It is more correctly the alternator belt.

You may find it increases if you turn on the heated rear window and lights, as this increases the workload on the alternator.

Conversely turning off electrical items may reduce or stop the squeal for a while.

The cure is to get the belt tightened.
