while driving a car some distance in front of me chaged her driving position to the left(without signaling) and came to a stop. while gaining on her car i signaled to go around her, when i had come level with her car, almost past her she turned into my back wheel arch, as she was trying to revers onto a drive on her left hand side, all the damage on her car is on the bumper.

after calling our insurance they are saying we are both 50/50 to blame until it is investagated, i dont see how i am at fault.

personally, I think she's at fault for not checking it was safe for her to move.
They're not saying you are at fault they're saying 'until it is investigated' they are undecided.
I would say not your fault but in these cases that are difficult to prove it is just easier and cheaper for insurance companies to go knock for knock.
Did you have witnesses ?

As you describe it, then it sounds to be her fault as she collided with you as you tried to pass what seemed to be a car just parked. But there is always the result of two accounts being read and a decision come to.

As mentioned it is cheaper for the companies to come to an agreement early than it is to argue the case, but if they say you are not to blame you can insist. My last accident was when I was hit in the back left wheel arch by a car that I didn't see because they were apparently driving in a lane that didn't exist to my left ! I insisted I was 100% blameless and whatever the insurance companies decided amongst themselves there showed no penalty to me by the time they'd finished.

hiya thank you, no there are no witnesses, i forgot to mention she part pulled into a bus stop which was infront of her drive(the left hand side), this was what caused me to assume she was parked.
