Had slight motor accident no visible damage just wing mirror touched other party decided after two months to make a claim what action should I take .

no idea what they are claiming for they just took my redg and got in touch with my insurers.never mentioned anything about a claim at the scene sounds like one of these no win no fee jobs

Cautious, there are scams about, as said, contact your insurance and wait, if you receive any phones calls regards this accident, refer them to your insurance.

should really have gone to you rather than direct to your insurers, you can then make the decision wether to go through insurance or not.Also it allows you to see what you are dealing with, as said there are scams out there with people making big claims on accidents that were very minor or never really happened and then back it up with dubious witnesses.

Factor, Re/Chas's reply, The Blackburn area approx 2>3 Years ago, there was a scam by Asians pulling up sharpish in front of you causing you to run into the back of them, the car at that time had no witnesses but out of the Blue came 5, there was a similar scam in Manchester & was totaled in the Millions.

i work in the insurance industry on the repair side of things so deal with and come into contact with engineers & loss assessors on a daily basis, thats where my information comes from and thats without the various news stories that TWR refers to.
