You may be thinking about the Police National Computer.  The police can check it and among many other things, it will show if the driver has been banned.  It also records the dates of the ban and your entry will be deleted when your ban is over.  You do not actually say that your ban has ended, but if it has, you have nothing to worry about.

I think you may be misinformed.

Any Police Officer can do a check over his/her radio - that can tell him/her the details of a vehicle.

Any Police Officer can also do a check on an individual - if something is recorded on the Police National Computer it stays there.

The two are not necessarily connected.

If you have been banned, and the ban is over then if you are licenced to drive, insured, and are driving a vehicle with an MOT there is no issue.

If you are stopped then for sure, the Police can check your history via the PNC check and do a vehicle check on the criteria I just mentioned.
