Is 6'2" Considered Particularly Tall For A Man In The Us?

I just measured my height and measured to be about 6'1" 1/2 without shoes and over 6'2" with shoes on. I feel noticeably taller than most of the people that I come across. Do you think this is considered very tall or just kind of tall?

My niece has two girls who are both 6ft 2in in their bare feet and their 15year old brother is just under 6ft and still growing.

My 15 year old son is over 6 ft tall, his dad is 5 ft 10 in and I'm 5 ft 4 in so no idea where he gets it from. Many of his peer group are similar height so it doesn't appear to be unusual around here.

How old are you and are you American and surrounded by Latinos? ;) Can't think how you are noticeably taller than others if you are only 6 foot 2, you see, unless everyone else is of an inherited shortness . And you sound young because young people notice that about themselves; if you were 30 you'd have long since been unaware of your height; and American because you wrote "kind of tall", an American idiom.

It's not tall . You're some way from being tall. You'd never make a NBA player; minimum height is 6 foot 8 ! Tall is 6 foot 5 or more nowadays.

My daughter is 5'9" and is way taller than her Spanish friends, always has been, when in photos she always has to bend her knees. And to make it worse the ibicencos are notoriously short. I've told her to stand tall and be proud.

I'd say tall, but not scarily so. Most people I know are in the mid 5 feet area, so you'd be noticed around here. Mind you, I've just noticed you said in the US so I don't know, but I assume similar genes, so, yes tall, but not excessively.
