I don't think that thread helps much Ron it's about ineffective brakes.

If the light is staying on when the switch wire is pulled - electricity must be getting to it via another route.

I'd check the wiring for fraying somewhere and also the light holder for any shorts

Have you checked your brake fluid level? The same light often comes on if there is insufficient brake fluid in the reservoir. If it is low, make sure you check for any leaks!
