Can't Get First Or Second Gear. Fiat Bravo 1.4

Hi guys. I'm afraid Iv got another problem.....

My car has developed a problem. It was ok until this morning then suddenly it's very difficult to get it to go into first or second gear. It will easily go into reverse and fourth and fifth but not the first two.
Iv looked into the bottles of liquid under the bonnet and they all seem full.
I don't want it to go completely and strand me away from home.
Does anyone have any ideas because I certainly don't.

Perhaps you need some oil in the gearbox.First and second gear are usually engaged by the same cluster on the layshaft, so either this is seized due to lack of oil or much more likely the selector mechanism needs adjustment.
A garage job most likely unless you know someone familiar with this (to me)unknown model of car.

Gear selector cables frayed or jammed would be my guess.

Yep check the cables and selector first as its the cheaper option. if the clutch is gone you wont be able to select the first two gears but you would have noticed the clutch slip before losing the gears anyway.
