what's the fastest you have been in a car

The fastest i been is 130mph in my mates volvo 340 a few years i go.

I have a 1.2 Auto nissan micra now and got 110mph out of it on the M5.which was good fun So what is your fastest you have been

My eldest brothers car,  I have had 1-2 white knuckle rides by him.  The family say :-- " Fly Dennis Road Ways " :-)

Well not in a car but on my R1 I have done 148 on the road. On a track day in Spain I reached 172 on the long straight, awesome, screw up and you're dead, the way it makes you concentrate is totally thrilling.

I've done 100 down a standard A road in the days before speed cameras - frightened myself witless. i have also done 65 down a 1 in 8 hill, and it feels three times as fast, with bends, a blind dip at the bottom, and a 1 in 8 up the otherside. I may have actually whooped out loud, but then again it may have been a sob of relief!

175mph on Stebbe Straight at Mallory Park racetrack in a Tyrell F1 car. On the road, maybe 125mph on the M whatever it is down to Dover. High top speeds on the road are not that thrilling, just risky to your licence, mid range acceleration beats it every time, IMO.

I think that KIDDY needs to check the speedo in the cars that he travels in - a micra 1.2 auto has a top speed of around 90 mph, and most standard 1.7 Volvo 340's will go at a top speed of around 105mph

yea but i have a 1.1 saxo and ive taken it off the clock which is 115, but ill take that down to 110. even though it was downhill i still done it! so maybe he aint lying

As tubeway mentions, I'd check the Nissan's and the Volvo speedos.  There's no way either could go that fast.

The fastest I've been was 125mph in a V12 Jaguar XJS 5.3 litre.  Had plenty more left in it but I was running out of road...

Of course on a place that allowed me to do it.

140mph at 6,000 rpm in a 1989 Honda Prelude 2.0 16v, still had a bit of pedal to go too!

Great car, very much underated can get them on ebay for a song, go for the 4 wheel steer one and no one can catch you on a bend.
