Easytronic Corsa

Have 3 year old Corsa auto with Easytronic gearbox.

I always drive the car in auto mode and sometimes when I come to traffic lights or at a temporary stop I put the car in neutral and few seconds late the 'A' (auto) light will start flashing, the engine does not cut out but I have to re-start the car and its ok from there on.

Any ideas why this is happening ?

If I dont go into neutral I will wear my brakes out.

However when happens again and the A lights starts flashing will put foot on brake and see if it redeems itself.
