Can a young driver lose his license by allowing a friend with only a provisional license to drive his car? No alcohol or accident was involved, but the police stopped the provisional driver and checked car and driver details.

A hard lesson to be learned, cloverjo.

Vehicle owners have a responsibilty to ensure they are driven in accordance with the traffic laws.
CLOVERJO, would you be saying the same if there had been a serious injury or a fatality as a result of poor driving?
I read this, Corby:

"If a driver gets six points or more within two years of passing his test, he can be banned."

This is not correct. He will not be banned but will have his full licence revoked and revert to provisional status. He can still drive, but must comply with the rules for provisional licence holders.
NEWJUDGE, apologies. You are correct, the licence is revoked.
